Problem - Mitchell Residence

The remodel of a 1980s residence shall include energy saving and sustainable materials, finishes, fixtures, and appliances. Create an In-Law Suite with both living and sleeping areas, a kitchenette and its own entrance. Design a Master Suite with a Spa-like bathroom and a walk-in closet. Design a more functional kitchen.

Solution

The remodel shall include Universal Design principles. Energy efficient windows and sustainable Red Oak flooring shall be installed throughout the residence. The In-Law Suite is ADA compliant and allows for independent living. The Master Suite, and adjoining spaces, were made into highly functional, luxurious spaces. A Powder Room was added. The kitchen has a more up-to-date layout with an island, energy saving appliances, and a small home office.
