Problem - Three Apartments

Design three apartments, one shall be ADA compliant, an exercise area, and a commercial space in an actual 1880s two-story, with basement, building in downtown Tucson. The existing floor plans are available for dimensioning of the building shell, and other structural details are visible.

Solution

Three spacious, luminous, two bedroom loft apartments, one completely ADA compliant, a storefront commercial space, an exercise area in the basement, and a recreational area on the roof, were designed. Structural repairs and a new elevator and staircase shall be provided. The rear of the building is to be restored and shall provide the new entrance to the apartments. Parking for the residents shall be created in the Alley.
